The General Administration of Security Systems is responsible for the implementation of the concept of safe city for the State of Kuwait by providing technological solutions to protect individuals, property and assets. The department provides classifications and specification of security devices (cameras and security monitoring systems - fenders - gates - detection systems by X-ray and others) to all sectors of the Ministry of Interior. The scope of the work of the administration also expanded with the issuance of Law No. 61 of 2015 regarding the regulation and installation of cameras and security monitoring devices, which includes all state installations and its jurisdiction to apply the law that aims to detect crimes, reducing abuses and ensuring community safety. In the same context, the administration of Security Systems works to ensure the quality and effectiveness of private security services through its competence with technicians practicing commercial activities in the field of these services and the customs release of security equipment and supplies.
